The original trans sensors in your
Prowler are known to fail prematurely.
When they fail, your check engine light
will come on and your Prowler will go
into "Limp Mode", keeping you from
shifting out of second gear.
If this happens and your speedometer
still works, you probably need a new
Input Sensor.
If your Prowler is in "Limp Mode" and
your speedometer no longer works,
you probably need a new Output
Sensor.
These sensors are easy to install,
using a 1" deep socket.
I think every Prowler should carry a
spare of each sensor and a 1" deep
socket....
