If you have a Weekender or Getaway or any aftermarket cargo trunk you may
understand that you (or someone else)will eventually open the deck against the
Cargo Trunk. Depending on how forcefull this is done it may or may not damage
the deck lid.
Why chance it? Get the Deck lid lockout switch and your problems are solved.
When the trunk is in the upright travel position the deck lid is locked out and will
not open. When the trunk is down(tilted back) or removed from the vehicle all
normal operation returns.
There are no external wires to the cargo trunk needed. All wiring is concealed in
the deck lid behind the liner. This kit is virtually invisible once installed.
